R.M. Almonte Publishing Launches Canadian Book Tour Seeking 3rd & 4th World Records

The planned 89-store tour has reached five bookstores across two provinces as the author pursues two additional RecordSetter world-record titles.

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- R.M. Almonte Publishing announced that author R.M. Almonte has begun his Canadian bookstore tour, completing five appearances across Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia as of October 8. The planned 89-store journey follows two RecordSetter world records earned during his United States tour and begins his pursuit of two additional titles.

The tour opened October 2 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, with appearances at bookstores in the Indigo family. Reaching the first province involved long flights, airport connections and extensive coordination. Almonte described the opening days as an adventure marked by logistical challenges and a warm welcome from store teams.

The author of Fogs of Time and the United Earth series enters Canada with the RecordSetter title Fastest Time to Complete a Book Signing Tour in All 50 U.S. States, achieved in 192 days. He also holds Most Barnes & Noble Book Signing Locations Visited in One Year, earned through appearances at 64 different locations.

The All Fifty Club separately recognizes his achievement in its Book Tour to All 50 States category, where he is currently the only author listed. That recognition documents the same national journey and is separate from his two RecordSetter titles.

His Canadian campaign targets a documented bookstore tour across all 10 provinces and three territories, alongside a proposed record for corporate-owned chain bookstore signing locations visited within one year. Final titles, qualifying requirements and verification remain subject to RecordSetter's review. Scheduled appearances span Indigo, Chapters, Coles and IndigoSpirit locations. The team plans to document each appearance through store confirmations, photographs and video, preserving evidence for review as the tour progresses.

"Bombs burn cities, but words burn through history," Almonte said ahead of the tour. He explained that writing preserves experiences and ideas beyond the moment, giving future readers a lasting record of the people and events behind them.

For Almonte, the journey also reflects the importance of believing in his work and trusting the team helping him reach each destination. He hopes his example will encourage his family and other creators to pursue ambitious goals, regardless of the size of their operation.

His Dominican heritage remains a source of motivation. Among the Dominican Republic's record achievements is the largest merengue dance, recognized by Guinness World Records after 844 participants gathered in Santo Domingo on November 3, 2019. Almonte sees his own literary pursuits as an opportunity to carry pride in that heritage into new communities.

After five completed Canadian stops, Almonte reports feeling strong and focused on the remaining route. He also hopes Fogs of Time will attract consideration for Heather's Picks, Indigo's book recommendation program.

R.M. Almonte Publishing is seeking Canadian sponsors to support travel and tour logistics as the campaign continues. Partnership information and upcoming appearances are available through the author's website, https://www.rmalmonte.com.

Beyond Canada, Almonte has identified Iceland, Scandinavia and the British Isles as destinations he hopes to explore through future author tours. Those ambitions reflect his broader goal of connecting with readers internationally while building a documented literary journey.
